YouTube In Test Subscription Service

YouTube is ready to start testing a subscription service among a “small group of partners,” the video hub announced Thursday. “YouTube says that of the over 1M channels generating
cash on YouTube, one of the most frequent requests has been ‘more flexibility in monetizing and distributing content’, which is what this new program is about,” The Next Web reports.
Subscriptions will start at $.99 a month, and is expected to be offered more widely in the coming months.
