Yahoo this week pulled anti-abortion ads appearing in Web searches for abortion clinics, following Google's move and petitions from pro-choice groups UltraViolet and Naral Pro-Choice America. The
groups said the ads were misleading, using vague language or posing as abortion clinics with ad titles such as Free Abortion Clinic. CNET cites
The Wall Street Journal reports that petitions
from Naral last month swayed Google to remove anti-abortion ads that violated its advertising policies.
