FRANCIS X. FARRELL has been named publisher of
National Geographic Adventure. Before joining National Geographic, Farrell was general manager/senior vice president/publisher of
The Sporting News. He also served as a senior vice president and publisher of
The Sporting News's then-parent company, Times Mirror Magazines.
