Politico has named Jen Hurley as senior vice president of finance for operations in North America.  

Hurley will be responsible for boosting the financial and operating performance of the organization. 

Previously, Hurley was director of finance at The Washington Post. Prior to that, she was the first finance employee at Politico, and has also served at CNN.

“Politico is in growth mode and the infrastructure of our financial operation must evolve to support our journalistic ambition and business goals,” says Mark Dekan, COO of Politico Media Group. 

Hurley comments, “Politico has a special meaning for me—it was during its startup phrase that I learned true grit and determination.”
