Colorado Springs Weeklies Are Set To Make A Comeback

Two weeklies based in Colorado Springs are set for relaunch only a couple of months after being closed.

Business partners J.W. Roth and Kevin O’Neil have acquired the rights to publish the Colorado Springs Independent and Colorado Springs Business Journal.

The partners have formed a for-profit business, Pikes Peak Media Company, to produce the titles.

“One of the things the paper has lacked over the last few years is sufficient capital to operate the business the way they wanted,” O’Neil says. “We’ll add capital to engage the entire City for Champions, including local academia, tourism, technology, nonprofits and military installations.”

Roth is founder, chairman and CEO of Notes Live, an entertainment company. O’Neil is founder and CEO of the O’Neil Group, a firm focused on business and real estate acquisition.
