  • Adtegrity.com Develops Pop-Up Opt-In Technology

    Adtegrity.com, a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Internet advertising services company, announced it has developed new technology for generating and utilizing targeted opt-in email lists. Adtegrity.com said the new system will utilize pop-up windows that let users opt-in to receive interest-based email on specific topics, products and services.   • Playmates Line Up Against Super Bowl

    NBC will pit Playboy Playmates against pigskin with a special Super Bowl Sunday edition of the network's reality series "Fear Factor." In a bid to steal away some of Fox's Super thunder, NBC plans to broadcast a two-part, 80-minute, edition of "Fear Factor" during halftime, and immediately after Fox's Feb. 4th Super Bowl broadcast. The episode will feature six Playboy Playmates competing for money in the controversial game show's usual assortment of gross-out stunts and dares.     Valiente Ltd. Has decided to temporarily suspend the publication of Valiente magazine, a Latino lifestyle monthly publication based in Plano, Texas. Valiente blames their temporary suspension on current economic conditions, and the events of September 11th, which resulted in a devastating effect in their advertisement funds. Advertising spending has been decreasing for several months and many in the industry are concerned about the possibility of further declines.   • HotJobs Returns to SuperBowl

    HotJobs.com announced that it will return as an advertiser to the Super Bowl for its fourth consecutive year. HotJobs first put its stake in the ground four years ago by investing half the company's annual revenue to purchase a Super Bowl spot. According to company officials, the site has seen dramatic increases in traffic and brand awareness following each of its previous advertising forays during the widely viewed game. Last year, within a half-hour of the HotJobs commercial airing, traffic to its website jumped 174%.     Priceline.com Inc. announced yesterday that the company has struck its first major marketing deal with AOL Time Warner Inc. This deal marks Priceline.com's first major foray into online advertising to complement its radio and television campaigns. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
