    Is the tech category poised for a comeback? Despite double-digit ad spending decreases so far this year, one report sees light at the end of the tunnel. Despite tremendous changes taking place on the demand and supply sides, the worldwide business consulting and IT consulting services markets will both recuperate by 2003, a U.S. market research firm predicted Tuesday.   • New Subscribers Push TiVo Revenue

    TiVo has posted a solid financial quarter. For the period ended April 30, revenues totaled $9.9 million, more than triple revenues of $3.2 million for the same period last year. TiVo's net loss was $25.8 million, approximately half the loss for the same period last year. "This significant improvement in our financial results demonstrates continued progress in our drive to profitability," said Mike Ramsay, CEO of TiVo. "Consumer demand for TiVo has never been stronger. And, our licensing and professional services business is taking off, demonstrating our technology leadership."
