    Following Nike’s lead with its showcase Niketown stores, North America's first adidas Originals Store will open this weekend in downtown New York City. The store presents the adidas Fall/Winter 2002 Originals collection. The store is designed to allow adidas to expand its customer base and to gain deeper market penetration in its existing markets.     A major league baseball strike could derail the program, but Budweiser is teaming up with the Texas Rangers for the benefit of Latino students in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area. Budweiser Homerunazo! is a scholarship campaign in which Anheuser-Busch will donate $100 to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) for every home run hit by the Rangers during home games this season, and as of August 30th, the home team has had 109 home runs.
