  • Advertising.com announced the appointments of DOUG MCFARLAND and KEN EVANS to the company's executive team. McFarland will serve as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Advertising.com's publisher business, while Evans is the new Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Doug McFarland most recently served as President of Jupiter Media Metrix, while Evans was Vice President of Worldwide Sales for ZDNet.

  • BARRY ALLENTUCK, formerly Vice President of Sales of NBC O&O station WTVJ in Miami, and Convergence Sales Manager of WFLA in Tampa moves to AutoSmart, the Ft Lauderdale consulting company as Chairman. Allentuck is one of the founders of this company, which helps media sales executives maximize revenue from the automotive category.

  • KEITH PEPPER has rejoined Jupiter Research, part of Jupitermedia Corp., as Senior Sales Manager for Custom Research. Previously, he was Director of New Business Development at NetCom Sales Strategies, a rep firm for independent media producers. At Jupiter, he will be working with companies to identify custom research projects to help them continue to capitalize on new media and emerging technologies.

  • JOHN WRIGHT has been promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing at Katrillion Media. He previously was Regional Sales Manager, East Coast for the Gen Y Entertainment News website Katrillion.com. Wright joined Katrillion from Warner Bros. Online, where he also covered ad sales & sponsorships for the East Coast.

  • At Greteman Group, a full-service creative agency based in Wichita, Kansas, DEANNA HARMS, who had served as Vice-President of Greteman Group for six years, is the new Senior Vice President. Also, BETH CHAPPLE, who joined the Greteman Group over a year ago as Director of Strategic Marketing, will now serve as Vice President, Director of Strategic Marketing.

  • CLAIRE RITCHIE formerly Midwest Manager for Penthouse Magazine is the new Midwest Manager for Remedy Magazine.

  • KEVIN LABICK, the former VP of Solutions and CEO at KPE, has joined Web design and technology firm Refinery as Vice President of Practice Development. He will also head up the media and telecommunications practice, acting as a key agency contact for such clients as Comcast. Juxt Interactive has hired JEFFREY JOSLIN as VP of East Coast Business Development, establishing the Newport Beach, California-based interactive shop's first physical presence in the Northeast. Most recently, Joslin was Director of Business Development at helloNetwork, a U.S. and Japan-based wired and wireless media streaming software developer. There, he initiated and developed sales co-marketing partnerships with Motorola, BBDO, Carlson Marketing Group and NetCreations, among others.

  • AdClub Indianapolis, one of the nation's oldest local chapters of the American Advertising Federation, has named its executive board for 2002-2003. The board includes new President and Local Photographer Representative JAN BUGHER, Associate Executive Director, AdClub Indianapolis KIM PANNELL, and AdClub’s Executive Director, Indianapolis MICHELLE LACOMBE.

  • Kang & Lee Advertising, a multicultural marketing consulting and communications agency specializing in reaching Asian Americans, announced four promotions: LARRY MOSKOWITZ was promoted to Vice President of Strategic Services / New Business, VALENTIN POLYAKOV and JULIA CHEN were appointed Media Supervisors, and DAPHNE HUANG was named Account Executive. Formerly Director of Strategic Services, Moskowitz will help to ensure that the agency's creative output reflects the ever-changing dynamics of consumer perceptions and competitive activities. Polyakov and Chen were both formerly Senior Media Planners.

  • Promotions at GQ magazine: SHELLEY COHN, former Retail Director, moves to Advertising Director, Advertising Sales Department Member MARC BERGER jumps to Executive Fashion Director. Conde Nast Publications Coporate Events Director RENEE IFILL becomes Creative Services Director, and LOTTIE OAKLEY, the Vogue Retail/New Media Director, moves to International Fashion Director. New additions to the GQ family include JIM CRAEMER, former Talk Advertising Sales Corporate Director, former Essence Creative Services Director of Corporate Art PAUL LIVORNESE moves to Creative Director, and Vibe/Spin Ventures Advertising Financial Director JEANNINE TRIOLO, is the New Business Manager.

  • DEB DREYFUSS-TUCHMAN is the new President of Business Development at the California-based internet marketing management firm AdExpedia. Previously she held a similar position at P2i.

  • San Francisco-based Jumpstart Digital Marketing has hired THOMAS J. O’LEARY as Vice President of Local Advertising Sales, a new position. O’Leary most recently served as Director of Sales for Autoweb.com, and will concentrate on many of the same things at Jumpstart, an interactive media sales, marketing and technology company.

  • Senior Direct Marketing executive ED ROONEY has joined Roska Direct, a direct shop located in suburban Philadelphia, as an Account Director. Rooney left Gillespie in Princeton, NJ, where as VP/Account Director he managed Metris and Westinghouse Ceiling Fans, to take the position at Roska.

  • HEATHER HANSSEN is joining the Sesame Workshop as Director of Marketing for Global Consumer Products and International TV Distribution. Hanssen will oversee marketing of the Sesame Street products division.

  • Zoom Media, an indoor billboard company targeting 18-34 year-olds with operations in over 30 U.S. cities and four countries, has named DENNIS ROCHE as president and chief operating officer of the company's U.S. operations. Roche was formerly president of YouthStream Media Networks, a youth media and marketing company.
