Cavnue, an infrastructure startup, is behind a project that will connect Detroit and Ann Arbor with a corridor dedicated to autonomous vehicles. The company has the support of traditional car companies like Ford and General Motors as well as Alphabet's driverless car subsidiary, Waymo. The plan calls for the new roads, which will be accessible only to driverless vehicles, to be built alongside existing roads, like interstate highways.
