The Weather Channel Tuesday launched a multi-carrier, mobile messaging product that allows consumers to seek on-demand weather information, with no monthly commitments. Weather-watchers text message
the ZIP code or city name for which they wish to receive a 36-hour weather report to "4CAST" (42278). The Weather Channel delivers the requested information directly to the user's mobile phone. The
new service was developed in conjunction with mobile tech services provider Telenor Interactive.
