Laura Desmond, global CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group, will be honored by the National Kidney Foundation April 16 in New York. Desmond will receive the "Chuck Fruit Award of Excellence," a new award
named in memory and honor of top marketer and kidney transplant recipient Chuck Fruit, who passed away last year. Most recently, Desmond was named Advertising Women of New York's 2008 "Advertising
Woman of the Year," as well as one of the world's most powerful women by Forbes.
