CBS Teams With Apptera For 'Harpers Island' Promo

CBS has turned to mobile voice advertising company Apptera to promote its murder mystery series, "Harper's Island," premiering Thursday.

Under the campaign, consumers who call Moviefone or MovieTickets.com for show times or advance ticket purchases for certain movies will hear audio ads for the series. Mobile users can also can opt-in to receive weekly Buzzz Alerts -- SMS text messages further promoting "Harpers Island" throughout the show's 13-week run.

The alerts, which users can opt out of at any time, remind callers to tune in Thursdays at 10 p.m. (9 p.m. Central) on CBS and provide details about the upcoming episode.--Mark Walsh
