Paxson Communications Corp. announced that "Doc," PAX TV's original new movie starring recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus averaged a 2.5 HH Rating/4 Share in 39 PAX metered markets during its Sunday, March 11 world premiere (8-10 p.m., ET/PT). This marks the highest rated Sunday performance for PAX since the network's August 1998 debut, as 35 of the 39 PAX metered markets outperformed the WB and/or UPN in the time period. Targeting the family audience, "Doc" built throughout the night, peaking at a 2.6 HH rating in its second hour. The film's 2.5 HH rating represents a 14% increase over the previous metered market season high (2.2 HH rating) delivered by "Once Upon a Christmas," which starred Kathy Ireland and John Dye. Additionally, the new PAX movie improved the First Quarter 2001 "Big Event Sunday" time period average (1.0 HH rating) by 150%.
