Hinz To Head Digital At MediaCom

WPP's MediaCom U.S. has named Jeffrey Hinz as managing partner, digital director. He replaces Sloan Broderick, who will move into a yet-to-be announced new role at the agency, according to a MediaCom spokesperson.

Hinz was previously senior vice president, director of digital and emerging media at Interpublic's direct-response agency ID Media, where his clients included Johnson & Johnson, L'Oreal, Maybelline, SC Johnson, Subaru, Jose Cuervo and Nikon.

Prior to joining ID Media in 2002, Hinz was general manager/vice president of marketing for K2 Digital.

MediaCom said Hinz will oversee the agency's entire digital operation, including display, video, SEO, SEM, mobile, social and emerging media.

MediaCom is one of four media agency networks that make up WPP's GroupM, along with Maxus, MEC and Mindshare. Just last week, Chris O'Brien moved from Publicis Groupe's Razorfish to become managing director, digital office lead, for Mindshare's Chicago office.
