In what one observer termed "a great way for Mort Zuckerman to stick it to Rupert Murdoch," Zuckerman's New York Daily News (in constant competititon with Murdoch's New York Post) will get a new editor in chief: Colin Myler. Myler formerly worked for Murdoch, most recently as the former News of The World editor before it was closed in the wake of the News Corp. phone-hacking scandal, but also as New York Post exective editor.
As a veteran, "Myler might be a great general in [the tabloid] battle," writes Joe Pompeo and Azi Paybarah.
