Filmed in the rocky and snowy mountains of Argentina, some might think the game, Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, takes place in a fairy-tale land. This game capitalizes on creative cinematography, providing between eight and 12 hours of interactive playtime. Hidden objects, video clues, and puzzle pieces set within an intriguing location (Dire Grove) take players through a nonlinear adventure that in some ways seems reminiscent of the movie, “The Blair Witch Project”. Gameplay is open-ended, allowing exploration through a classic adventure-type style. Once unlocked, all the games, puzzles, and scenes with hidden objects can be played competitively for point rankings on individual Game Center leader boards.
