ABC News and Univision will partner to launch an English-language cable network for U.S. Hispanics sometime in the first half of next year.
The as-yet-unnamed joint venture, in which each partner will own a 50% stake, will feature "lifetyle entertainment and health-related programming as well as traditional news programming, thereby distinguishing it from cable news channels like CNN and Fox News," writes Brian Stelter. "Nonetheless, it will likely garner comparisons to traditional cable news channels."
