Amazon's Lovefilm Inks Twentieth Century Fox Content Deal

Amazon’s UK-based Netflix competitor, Lovefilm, has signed a multi-year content deal with Twentieth Century Fox, a move that gives Lovefilm subscribers streaming access to TV series like “24,″ “Prison Break,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel.”

The deal covers Lovefilm content across devices, including PC, Mac, Sony PS3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Apple iPad and Connected TVs and Blu-Ray players.

In the past 12 months, Lovefilm has signed deals with Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, NBC Universal, Entertainment One, STUDIOCANAL, Disney, ABC and ITV.

Amazon purchased Lovefilm, which has more than 2 million members in Europe and over 70,000 titles, in January 2011.
