AOL has laid off 450 employees, or 2% of its work force, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday. Most of the employees were software developers, 375 of them from the company's Mountain View, Calif.,
campus. Its San Diego and San Francisco development offices will be shut by the end of the month. About 100 employees will be offered a chance to relocate to Dulles, Va., or White Plains, N.Y.
