Boston-based advertising agency Allen & Gerristen this week announced a new campaign for D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches, the sister brand of Papa Gino’s, which Allen & Gerristen created a campaign for last week. Allen & Gerristen was named D’Angelo’s AOR in December 2011, and this is the first major advertising the agency has done for the company since then.

The campaign comes with a new tagline for the sandwich makers, “Think With Your Stomach.” D’Angelo CMO Pete Bell said in a statement, "We recognized that it was time for the D’Angelo Grilled Sandwich brand to evolve our offerings to attract a larger and more diverse audience, and 'Think With Your Stomach' does just that.”

The campaign will feature branded videos posted on Hulu, YouTube, and Spot Exchance, as well as radio spots on Pandora. According to the release, terrestrial radio spots, digital ads, and newly designed menu boards are also included in the campaign.

“’Think With Your Stomach’ speaks to the sandwich fanatics out there, and gives them permission to choose food with substance, heartiness, and real taste over cheap and quick alternatives,” stated Allen & Gerristen CCO Gary Greenberg. “It's definitely provocative, but it has a playfulness that is consistent with the new look and feel of the D’Angelo brand."

The Allen & Gerristen streets team will hold “Tweet & Meats” on the Boston streets, where they will hand out samples, “Think With Your Stomach” t-shirts, and $2.00 coupons.
