PreApps.com Seeks to Change The App Game

PreApps.com, a Boston-based startup, is launching a platform that will allow mobile app developers to generate some buzz for their products before the apps go live. According to the release (which cites 148apps.biz), over 28,000 apps are submitted to Apple a month. With so many apps out there, it’s hard for a developer to get noticed.

"This is truly the wave of the future," said Sean Casto, CEO of PreApps in a statement. "For too long mobile app developers like myself have been drowning in a sea of tremendous competition with no available life raft for the little guy. PreApps will give small developers the ability to build loyal user bases and compete with the big boys."

PreApps is set to launch on January 24. iOS and Android apps will be available to preview, rate, and test before they are officially released. According to the release, the purpose of PreApps is to usher in the next generation of mobile apps by creating apps that users want, not “what developers think [users] will use.”

"This is a tremendous platform to bring together app users with app developers for the ultimate mobile app experience," said Casto. "Promoting your app is a major problem in the industry, and PreApps is a wonderful solution."
