Whistleblower Warned BBC About Digital Media Folly

BBC managers were warned three years ago that its ambitious and expensive Digital Media Initiative project was doomed to fail, long before it was axed last month after wasting £100m worth of licence fee money. The Guardian reports that a whistleblower had raised the alarm to executives in 2010, cautioning that the so-called benefits of the project were "hugely overoptimistic and difficult to deliver".
