Monday Beats Friday For Post-Holiday Shopping

E-commerce numbers topped $400 million on "Black Monday" according to VeriSign, a software company that secures commerce transactions on the Web. That figure represents 71 percent more online sales, according to VeriSign, than on "Black Friday." While VeriSign's figures are real-time and the latest look at what's being transacted on the Web, they do not account for all online transactions. VeriSign secures roughly 35 percent of North American transactions.
