Mark Zuckerberg Gives $25 Million To CDC To Fight Ebola Epidemic

Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan will give $25 million to the CDC Foundation to help fight the Ebola epidemic. USA Today reports the donation will go to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Ebola response effort in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, and in other spots in the world where Ebola is a threat. It's the first major effort by a social media company to help search for an end to the disease. Zuckerberg announced the donation on Facebook. Last month, Bill Gates announced the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation would give $50 million toward efforts.
