California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris is known to the ad tech community for her strong push towards consumer privacy policies in digital. Harris also now joins the group of government officials who have disclosed that they have used a personal email address for work purposes. Harris revealed the news this week, but it's not too big of a deal. She said that she really doesn't use email much at all and when she has used her personal account for work purposes it is for mundane tasks like asking staffers to forward her an article. This usage likely doesn't break any laws.
