Search Engine Feature In Email Platform Analyzes Competitors' Newsletters

Notablist has developed a search engine that enables marketers to search and analyze email newsletters that their peers or competitors have published.

 “It’s essentially a searchable campaign database of campaigns from 400,000 different brands in real-time,” says Michael Johnston, Founder at Notablist.  Johnston says the primary benefits to email marketers are competitive intelligence and creative inspiration.

Users can search and track the email marketing campaigns of brands and publishers through a variety of search filters, including by brand, industry, product category, Alexa ranking and color.

The platform lets marketers bookmark favorite search terms and brands and tell the system to alert you when a certain retailer sends out a campaign.

Notablist says the volume of daily email campaigns have increased 37%, meaning marketers need to be unique and stand out from the crowd if they want their message to be read.  

 “Smaller brands who publish less frequently wake from their dormancy this time of year,” Johnston says. “As time goes on, you’ll start to see trends, such as discounts and promotions, that will increase in fervor. The holidays are do or die, marketers need to close business or they simply won’t meet their numbers.”
