CEO Spam Cost Organizations $2.3B in Last 3 Years: FBI

CEO spam has cost companies $2.3 billion over the past three years, according to the FBI. The law enforcement agency issued an alert this week about the rise in this digital crime, in which a spammer impersonates the executive of an official of a company in order to trick an employee into wiring money. Since January 2015, the agency has seen a 270 percent increase in victims of this kind of scam.
