Discovery's iMedia Ad Unit Taps ESPN'S Snyder

After a decade as an ESPN.com sales executive, Andrew Snyder has decided to make the move over to Discovery Networks, where he will serve as vice president for the company's iMedia advertising sales unit.

In his new role, Snyder will oversee all sales efforts for Discovery's iMedia offerings, including Discovery.com, broadband, Video On Demand and other interactive platforms. Snyder will also take the lead on iMedia ad sales strategies, and develop new client relationships, as well as generate revenue from targeted major advertisers through the use of Discovery's various programming assets. Snyder served in a variety of sales roles in his 10 years at ESPN.com, where he leaves his most recent post as director, Midwest and East Coast advertising sales, overseeing the sales teams in New York, Chicago, and Detroit. Previously, Snyder was director, Midwest ad sales for ESPN.com, where he managed sales teams in Chicago and Detroit. In that post, Snyder cultivated online advertising partnerships with brands such as DaimlerChrysler, Gatorade, General Motors, Nokia, and SABMiller.
