Google Maps is slowly adding some new features, including notifications for mass transit delays and an option to restrict data usage to Wi-Fi only. “The first time Wi-Fi only mode is enabled, it
will show a quick reminder that Google Maps may still use a small amount of data during operation,” Android Police notes. “As long as the switch is turned on, a small bar will appear
across the top of the screen to make the status obvious.”
