Microsoft Wednesday announced the launch of MSN Video Downloads, which will provide mobile video content to Windows Mobile-based multimedia devices, and select Smartphones and pocket PCs. MSN Video is culling its video content from 25 content partners, including the Food Network, Fox Sports, Home & Garden Television, and IFILM. The short videos available will include news, sports highlights, children's programming, music videos, and comedy shows. The service will be subscription-based, costing $19.95 per year for access to all the downloadable videos. There will also be free videos available for download by anyone.
