EU privacy regulators have sent warning letters to WhatsApp and Yahoo expressing concerns that these tech companies could be in violation of EU privacy laws. The letter to WhatsApp specifically
expressed concerns about WhatsApp's update which grants to company permission to share users' phone numbers with its parent company Facebook. The letter to Yahoo expressed concerns that emails sent by
EU citizens may have bene illegally scanned and shared with US officials.
