A Single Data Breach Can Cost a Brand $7M

Data breaches, in which the personal information of brands is exposed, cost companies about $7 million according to a report from the Ponemon Institute and IBM. While this figure is slightly lower overall than in 2011, this year, the average cost per record, went up to $221 per compromised record.
