Ireland is Investigating Whether Yahoo's Scans Violated EU Law

Ireland’s Data Protection Commissioner is investigating whether or not Yahoo broke European law when scanning user's email accounts last year for the U.S. government. Yahoo allegedly built software to scan the emails of millions of people to identify national security issues for the U.S. Ireland's Data Protection Commissioner is asking Yahoo to answer more questions related to the process to determine if any laws were broken.
