Clinton campaign manager John Podesta's email hack this past summer over a typo. According to the latest report on the matter, one of Podesta's aides may have made a typo that led to the hack. When the phishing email that attacked Podesta's account first landed in the inbox, one aide replied, "This is a legitimate email. John needs to change his password immediately." This was a spelling error, however, the aide meant to write "illegitimate email," and just mistyped, according to The New York Times. The response opened the doors for the attack.
