  • August 2, 2002
It's a good day at The New York Times, with the fall Fashions of The Times showing a 9% jump in ad pages, making it the largest such supplement since 1986. The supplement to the weekly Times Magazine will be published Aug. 18 with 144 advertising pages, compared to 132 last year. The Times said Fashion of The Times has seen increases in ad pages for the past five years. New advertisers this year include Bulgari, Bottega Veneta. Kate Spade, Club Monaco, Corcoran Realty, Three Dots, The Corcoran Gallery, Kenar, Alfani of Federated and May Company. They join 77 other advertisers in 15 categories from international fashion, to home furnishings and fashion jewelry. These include Estee Lauder, Chanel, Prada, Hermes, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Tod's, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Lord & Taylor and Banana Republic. "We saw increases in 10 categories in the fall Fashions of The Times, led by strong growth in domestic fashion advertising," said Alexic Buryk, GVP/Advertising. "A 12-page insert from The Gap is indicative of the strength in American fashion."
