Cox Radio Improves In Q2

Citing “improved” advertising conditions, Cox Radio announced net revenues for the second quarter of 2002 increased $6.0 million to $113.9 million, a 5.6% increase from the second quarter of 2001. Net revenues increased in almost every market as a result of improved advertising and strong ratings performance. Net revenues for the first six months of 2002 increased $5.5 million to $199.9 million, a 2.9% increase For the third quarter of 2002, Cox Radio expects to report net revenues of approximately $105.0 million and broadcast cash flow of approximately $41.5 million. Which is consistent with past guidance. Cox Radio is the third largest radio company in the United States based on revenues. Cox Radio owns, operates or provides sales and marketing services for 79 stations (68 FM and 11 AM) in 18 markets, including major markets such as Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Tampa, Orlando and San Antonio.
