Trump Campaign Sends President's Day Sale Email

President Trump’s reelection campaign is offering deals on items ranging from t-shirts to lapel pins in an apparent President’s Day Sale.

The campaign sent emails during the weekend offering 30% off on merchandise, the New York Postreports.

“From the birth of the Father of our Country to Abraham Lincoln’s leadership that brought our divided nation back together, our country’s history is studded with many heroic leaders whom we are proud to honor this President’s Day,” the small says, the Post adds.

The campaign typically runs campaigns during holidays. The emails, which contain a link to the campaign website, apparently went to the Trump support list.

A visit to the website shows that many — but not all — items are discounted.

Among the products being offered at lower prices are unisex hoodies, reduced from $44 to $26.40, caps discounted from $28 to $16.40, and gifts such as a set of two inauguration seal lapel pins for $32, down from $40. Also on sale is a Trump-Pence raglan dog sweater, cut from $16 to $12.

Many of the items feature slogans, such as “Make America Great Again.”

According to the Post, the email states: “From George Washington to Donald J. Trump, we’re celebrating the great patriots who’ve led our nation. CELEBRATE President’s Day with 30% off ALL official Presidential merchandise with code POTUS. ”

The proceeds will go to the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee, it adds.

In a related development, the Post reports that backers have also received an email, urging them to wish the President a “GREAT!” President’s Day by sending him an online card. The invitation is titled, “HAPPY PRESIDENTS’ DAY, PRESIDENT TRUMP!” It also blasts the “smug” media and “worn out politicians,” according to the Post.
