BluVector has added several features to its BluVector Cortex, a product designed to help companies fight malware attacks through their cloud-based email services. The enhanced service offers support for Office 365 and Google Mail.

These services are important for firms shifting to “hybrid IT and email environments,” states Travis Rosiek, CTO, BluVector.

In addition, the new features include:

• Cloud email analysis 
• New event reporting dashboard 
• Malware analysis in the cloud 
• Detection of malicious VBScripts 
• Built-in threat intelligence 

“While email continues to be the primary method of communication for organizations, it also continues to be the weakest link in security,” Rosiek says. “As such, threat actors commonly target their attacks on email and are getting better at deceiving users.”
