Witty social media messaging is giving some fast-food chains distinct alter egos. Although they are usually self-promotional, the messages are often clever enough to give personality to otherwise faceless companies. “And that can drive sales,” according to USA Today. “Many of the tweets are strictly business, but some aren’t afraid to zing, offering quips that mock competitors or pick up on news events.”
