Yahoo! Creates Custom Landing Pages For Minyanville, Quicken

  • September 8, 2005
Online publishing company Minyanville Wednesday went live with a deal with Yahoo! that involves customized landing pages on the Internet portal company's finance site. Yahoo! has a similar arrangement with just one other company, financial software retailer Quicken.

The deal provides for Yahoo! to both power stock quotes on Minyanville--a subscription site that incorporates images of pixilated cartoonish characters into its news coverage--and create a Minyanville-oriented landing page for visitors from the site.

As of Wednesday, Minyanville users who research stock prices through the site are taken to a Yahoo! Finance page that displays a thin Minyanville-oriented banner immediately below the Yahoo! Finance logo. The banner contained two of Minyanville's cartoon icons, and links directing visitors back to Minyanville news articles and archives.
