Some Mailchimp users were confronted with service problems on Thursday, according to downdetector.

Complaints related to the marketing service provider peaked around 2:30 p.m. EDT, then leveled off. There apparently were no issues on Friday. 

Of the reported problems on Thursday, 50% were related to log-in, 44% websites and 4% for sending emails. 

The most heavily affected areas were the Northeastern United States and Western Europe, judging by the downdetector map.

“Mailchimp's landing page loads, but I can't access Campaigns (loads indefinitely),” wrote one user.

“The landing page says they're having technical issues and will be back soon for me,” said another. 

One other user wrote: "I hope Mailchimp corrects this inability to function issue quickly. There are deadlines in play here, and I need a reliable mailer. In the past, chimp has been rock solid. Is there a bigger issue here, or is it yet another inability to scale up?”
