Hero Digital Merges With Avionos

Customer experience firm Hero Digital has merged with Avionos, a digital technology consultancy focused on delivering B2B commerce and marketing services and managed services. Terms were not disclosed.

The goal is to combine “Hero Digital’s strategy, creative, marketing and technology capabilities with Avionos’ technical expertise in Adobe and Salesforce B2B commerce and marketing,” says Scott Webb, CEO of Avionos.

The combined company, headquartered in Chicago, will operate as Hero Digital.

The leaders of both companies worked together at Acquity Group, a commerce consultancy later acquired by Accenture.

Avionos has helped such clients as Brunswick, TransUnion, Abbott Laboratories, Bissell and Trex.

Hero Digital’s clients have included such brands as Comcast, U.S. Bank, Zoom, Nagase, UnitedHealthcare, and TD Ameritrade Institutional.

Jay Dettling, who was recently appointed as CEO of Hero Digital, says the arrangement “adds immediate value to our combined client base.”

In another move, Hero Digital acquired B2C commerce company Omnichannel.

Canaccord Genuity was financial advisor to Avionos.
