WorldNow Partners with Gray TV For Desktop Alerts

WorldNow, a provider of Internet technology, revenue and content solutions for local broadcasters, partnered with Gray Television, Inc. to launch Digital Information Network's Desktop Alert systems in 25 markets where Gray owns and operates local television stations. The Desktop Alert system is a locally branded, market-exclusive application downloaded by site visitors for free from local TV station websites. It resides on user desktops and provides local alerts on breaking news and severe weather updates changing weather, even Amber and Homeland Security Alerts. WorldNow will help design, develop and launch the Desktop Alert system as well as provide sales training and support to help stations sell the application to local advertisers. The deal brings to 60 stations the number of local TV stations that are using the product.
