Some CBS Stations Delay '9/11' Documentary

Attorney Jack Goodman says some of his CBS TV station clients say they will likely delay broadcast of the CBS documentary "9/11" until after 10 p.m., given concerns about the language and the Federal Communications Commission's response to it. The documentary has aired uncut twice before, and includes profanities uttered in the heat of the moment. While CBS has said it expects no problems with the FCC, some stations aren't so sure. Another CBS-affiliated station is considering feeding the show live to cable to air in its regular time period, but will delay its own broadcast until after 10 p.m. At least one station group is expected to go public with announcements of preemptions and/or delays soon.
