Craig Gugel was named U.S. president of Telmar Group to lead and speed the media planning company's continuing evolution in an increasingly digital media environment.

Gugel's background includes stints as chief media and research services officer at digital agency Organic, president and CEO of Manhattan-Pacific Multimedia, and executive vice president, director of strategic insights at Optimedia International.

Telmar also announced that Harry Appel, U.S. president, has been promoted to group vice chairman and chief globalization officer. Both Appel and Gugel will report directly to Chairman Stan Federman.
