In-Text Moves: Vibrant Hires; LinkXL Launches
May 22, 2007, 5:51 AM
Vibrant Media, which says it now provides in-text ads to more than 2,200 Web sites, has named Dennis Morgan as chief financial officer. Morgan was formerly vice president, corporate finance at Yahoo, where he was involved in such ad-related deals as the acquisitions of Inktomi, Overture and Kelko, and partnerships with eBay and the newspaper industry consortium.
Meanwhile, yesterday, LinkXL said it launched an automated contextual advertising text link technology, allowing online publishers and advertisers to sell and purchase text link advertising within existing content. The company said marketers can purchase text or words in the "natural content" on sites with related themes, rather than in footers or sidebars, which will then link users to the marketer's site.
