Organizers of Tuesday's "National Day of Silence" said 14,000 Internet radio sites stopped their music, more than 14 million people visited SaveNetRadio.org, and nearly 400,000 phone calls were placed to members of the House and Senate calling on Congress to enact legislation that would cancel upcoming royalty rate increases from the Copyright Royalty Board.

A hearing on H.R. 2060, the Internet Radio Equality Act, will be held today in Washington. The greatly increased royalty payments are now due to the SoundExchange collection organization on July 15.
