Nokia Goes With Wieden

Nokia has tapped Wieden & Kennedy as lead strategic and creative agency for its $300 million mobile phone account. The agency, through its London office, will now handle all global campaigns and its first work should hit early next year.

Nokia made the move as cell-phone sales in the U.S. are looking to shift dramatically with the much-ballyhooed rollout of Apple's iPhone. Nokia is the world's leading maker of cell phones, but is less of a presence here in the U.S., spending just $49 million in measured media last year, according to TNS Media Intelligence. Losers in the review were Mother and JWT.
