Metacafe Raises $30 Million

Video-sharing network Metacafe has raised $30 million in third-round financing. Highland Capital Partners and DAG lead the round, along with previous investors, including Accel and Benchmark. The money will go toward "continued global growth," the startup said in a statement. In addition, co-founder Arik Czerniak is stepping away from day-to-day operations of the company, but will remain on the board.
